Mike O'Sullivan
CEO / FOUNDER

Mike is the driving force behind Supermarine aircraft and using his broad knowledge of engineering and designing has brought this Spitfire project to life. He is wholely and solely responsible for its original design and subsequent kit manufacture and is never far from the day to day operations of the factory often up to his elbows in the manufacture of the kits or any other facet of the Spitfires production.

 

Clint

Clint Jordan

Workshop Manager

Sheetmetal work and engineering technician, parts fabrication, CNC machine operator for automatic router cutting of parts, machining and welding, aircraft assembly production and packing of components for export shipments. Clint can turn his hand to all aspects of Spitfire production and runs a very tight ship.

 

Karen

Karen O'Sullivan

Stock, Quality control and packing.Karen is a dynamo and is responsible for stock and quality control. She also packs each and every kit so is intimately acquainted with every part that goes into making up a SupermarineSpitfire. She is also a very capable fabricator and keeps the boys on the go.

 

Mark

Mark O'Sullivan

Sheet Metal Worker.

Mark has recently finished his apprenticeship and has learnt the skills required to build Spitfires. He also has very good skills in computers so is often found 'driving' the cad programme for our computer controlled router.

Rick has been flying for 50 yrs and has over 8500 hours in the air flying in over 120 types of aircraft, ranging from lightning fighter jets to hot air balloons.He has flown for 4 military airforces and 11 operational squadrons. Rick believes the current v8 spitfire is the most enjoyable and fun aircraft he has ever had the pleasure to fly.

 

 

 

Glen

Bruce Bissell

Machinist/ fibreglass production, toolmaker and tradesman

Worked in the fibreglassing industry designing and building surfboards and is still a keen surfer today.Bruce has over 4800 flying hours in aircraft ranging from light sport up to regional 40 seat turbo props.he has also volunteered for the Beaufort restoration group, which will soon have the only Australian made Beaufort bomber airworthy and flying in the world.

Bookkeeper / Accounts

Jane is the newest member of our team.  She comes to us with experience drawn from owning her own successful business.  Jane is very efficient  and takes care of accounts payable and receivable.

Apprentice sheet metal worker

He has just completed his apprenticeship, is keen to learn, showing good hand skills and always willing to help.  Assists with CNC routing.

Heavy vechical mechanic by trade, and has a keen interest in electronics.

glenn is responsible for the correct operation of the CNC router as well as other pieces of factory machinery.
